Florence Batters Carolinas, Leaving 722,000 Without Power

According to a report by Reuters, US Southeast power companies said that over 722,000 homes and businesses located primarily in the Carolinas were without power after Hurricane Florence made landfall on Friday. Duke Energy Corp, who provides utilities to over 4 million customers in the area, estimated that the storm could cause over 1 million and 3 million outages.
