Elon Musk: Humans Are 'Most Likely' Living Inside A Simulation

Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk has said that humans "are most likely in a simulation."
He made the comment during a recent interview on "The Joe Rogan Experience" podcast where he and host Joe Rogan were discussing social media and simulation devices and how much more ingrained the next generation of technology will be in people's lives.
Musk said, "It will be, at some point, indistinguishable from reality."
"The argument for the simulation I think is quite strong because if you assume any improvements at all over time --1 percent, 0.1 percent--just extend the time frame, make it a thousand years, a million years. The universe is 13.8 billion years old...If you're very generous, civilization is maybe 7 or 8,000 years old, if you counted from the first writing. This is nothing," Musk noted.
"If you assume any rate of improvement at all, then games will be indistinguishable from reality. Or civilization will end. One of those two things will occur. Therefore, we are most likely in a simulation. Because we exist," Musk added.
Musk has previously made similar comments, including telling an audience in Dubai last year that "to some degree, we are already cyborgs."
