Typhoon Jebi, one of the strongest tropical systems of the year, made landfall in Japan on Tuesday, September 4.In Kyoto, debris from the typhoon hit the glass ceiling of the central train station, causing glass to fall into the atrium below, narrowly missing several people.Images from a Twitter user staying in a nearby hotel showed that the glass was broken by debris whipped up by the typhoon.NHK reported flights were cancelled and train services were reduced as the storm swept northeast towards eastern Shikoku and Osaka. Jebi was expected to bring high winds, heavy rain and strong waves to an area of Japan recovering from deadly storms earlier this summer. The typhoon was the seventh tropical storm to hit the country this year. Credit: Moriyama Kazuhiko via Storyful
