Now we come to think about it, running our solo episode on a day notorious for hangovers might not have been the best idea. However if you think you can stomach it, we've got one hell of a show for you. Sit back, try to relax and check out the incredible footage from our top 3 solo climbs of 2014. First up we have climber Lucky Chance, better known as The Stunt Monkey who soloed the route 'Wonderland' in Australia's Blue Mountains while dressed in full monkey get-up. Not the most serious solo climb we've ever seen, but definitely one of the most entertaining. Thanks to Brad Schimanski for the use of his footage. If you'd like to see more from Brad, check out his Youtube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/user/mansnowboarder In second place is frequent climbing daily star Tom Randall who we featured earlier in the year soloing a gritstone classic and one of his favourite routes, 'London Wall' (E5 6a) at Millstone Edge. Unsurprisingly, first place this year goes to the uncontested modern master of free solo, Alex Honnold. Alex made the news early on this year for his free solo ascent of the fifteen pitch 'El Sendero Luminoso' (7c/5.12d). Alex was far from done however and in October he once again amazed the climbing world when web design company Squarespace released a video of him soloing 'Heaven' (7c/5.12d) at Glacier Point in Yosemite. Squarespace not only released their original advert but also a climber's cut of the footage. To watch the original video you can go here:
