Nils Favre's Monster Mantle On 'From Dirt Grows The Flowers' (8C) | EpicTV Climbing Daily, Ep. 431

We’ve got news of a world-class 8C/V15 boulder that has seen a lot of attention at the start of 2015 having been repeated by two climbers in quick succession. The problem in question is 'From Dirt Grows The Flowers,” a notoriously tough line in Chironico, Switzerland that was established by US climber Dave Graham over 10 years ago.
Manuel Brunn made the first ascent of 2015, climbing the line just after the turn of the year, followed shortly afterwards by Nils Favre. The pair had spent numerous sessions working the boulder together in the lead up to their sends and although Manuel has climbed 8C before, this problem marked Nils' first of the grade. We caught up with him to find out what it felt like to climb his first 8C.
