Today we’ve got 2 brilliant but contrasting videos for you. There’s some fun but scary trad from the UK, but first we’ve got Nalle Hukkataival up to his old tricks, climbing yet another hard boulder.

This time it’s “The Nest”, a V15 or 8C in Red Rocks, Nevada. The problem was first climbed in December 2013, when Daniel Woods and Jimmy Webb made the first and second ascent on the same day. Jimmy reckoned that it basically involved a 10 move 8a, then a really sketchy 3 move 8B up some stunning bright red rock.

Nalle had a look at the problem last year but was unable to give it a serious try due to a shoulder problem. He is in a very elite category of climbers to have done an 8C+ boulder problem and seems to now be back at full fitness so 2015 could be a pretty big year for him.

Next, we’ve got a film showcasing all that is good, and scary, about British gritstone. It’s called “Against the Grain: Staffordshire Gritstone” and it follows climbers repeating some of the classics of the area, plus some of the slightly more esoteric gems!
