Driver during Columbus flash floods drives through other people's yards

This motorist was caught driving over his neighbour's front lawns in an effort to avoid flooded streets.

Footage captured on Saturday (September 1) in Colombus, Ohio, shows the sedan mounting the grass ahead of a flooded road.

The filmer was not impressed by the driver's "creative" way of avoiding the pools of water.

The filmer writes: "We had a pretty nasty thunderstorm roll through Columbus, Ohio and remind everyone that nature can be quite scary so needless to say we had some flash floods.

"Most people tend to avoid the flooded roads but sometimes you get some creative types who decide they are going to think outside the box."

He adds: "These guys decided they would rather drive through other peoples yards to avoid the flooded area... And I caught the whole thing.

"They stopped driving when they noticed that I was recording them and what isn't shown is that they made a hard right turn and drove up through the yard to get back on the road above the flood by using the driveway."
