The Ohio River burst from its banks on Sunday, February 18, causing the town of Pomeroy, Ohio, to flood. The area was under a flood warning, which stated the river was at 49.8 feet – nearly four feet above the normal flood stage – at 2 pm Sunday.The town was under water beginning Saturday, reportedly forcing local businesses to evacuate and close up shop.
