Janmashtami is celebrated with great enthusiasm and zest as it is celebrated the birth of lord Krishna who was the 8th incarnation of Lord vishnu. Every year, it is observed on the 8th day of Krishna Paksha in the Hindu month of Bhadrapada. According to the scriptures, on this day only, Dwapara Yuga was ended and Kalyuga was commenced.
