A heavy rainstorm brought flash floods to southern China’s Shantou City on Thursday (August 30).

Dramatic video shows houses and vehicles submerged by the flash floods and fish swimming in the floodwater.

Firefighters are seen trying to rescue residents trapped in the flooded houses.

Around 1,000 households were flooded and more than 100 people were evacuated, reports said.
