While Mehbooba led PDP is still struggling to keep its house in order, top sources tell NewsX, BJP is already moving ahead with a concrete plan of action as far as the state of Jammu and Kashmir is concerned. In an attempt to test the waters before 2019 & gauge the intent of voters, centre is looking to push for local body polls in Jammu region first and thereafter in December, it is likely to pitch for Panchayat Polls in terror affected areas of Kashmir. Sources add, BJP is looking at Local Body Polls as a litmus test for 2019.
