Oahu Businesses Board Up Windows in Preparation for Hurricane Lane

As the Big Island and Maui began to feel the first effects of Hurricane Lane on August 23, Oahu residents were finishing their preparations for the storm. Homes and businesses were boarded up, and the island’s main freeway was nearly empty.Lane was a Category 4 storm with sustained winds of 130mph at 8am Thursday morning.
