Vans Shop Riot 2017: Portugal Qualifiers | Shop Riot | VANS

This past Saturday, the 8th of July, "Parque das Gerações" skatepark in Cascais welcomed another edition of the Portuguese Vans Shop Riot.
It was a total of five shops battling it out for the 1900€ prize money and the title to represent Portugal in the European final. All five shops were heavy hitters and it was hard eliminating Twin Tail after a solo first run from each. With four shops remaining, the luck of the draw paired up the matches and after some intense skating the local shop, POP won against Carsportif and ended up taking the bronze and 300€ cash.
The level of the final was super high, giving a hard time to the judges, but in the end Ericeira got 2nd place and managed to grab 600€ and the silver title, thus leaving BANA skate shop with the title of Portuguese champs for the second time consecutively and let's not forget that they are the current European shop riot champions and they will be defending their title at this year´s final in Milan, Italy.
As if this were not enough, we had a Cash for Tricks at the brand new obstacle in PDG, a vert wall built by Vans to promote their new high tech shoe the Ultra Range Pro, where 250€ were given to the gnarliest tricks.
To finish everything off there was a Nixon Best Trick that ended up with Bruno Senra "BP" from Ericeira skate shop taking the Nixon custom watch home for a flawless hard flip over the bump to bar.
Once again, another great event at a fantastic park filled with amazing people!
