According to a report by Allure, following this year's MTV Video Music Awards, Madonna has come under fire for offering a tribute to the late Aretha Franklin which social media as blasted as self-centered and inappropriate. Madonna, who recently turned 60, reportedly touted her rise to success, from living in a 'crackhouse' to performing at the very first VMA's in 1984, while failing to explain the Queen of Soul's impact or influence on her life or the world. Twitter users reportedly pointed out that in addition to being inappropriate, the whole convoluted, meandering story was difficult to follow and generally confusing.
