Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Thursday visited All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) to enquire about former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s health. After receiving the information about Vajpayee’s critical health condition, prominent politicians have been visiting AIIMS to check on Vajpayee. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited AIIMS last evening and spent about 50 minutes there. Vajpayee's health has worsened over the last 24 hours, said All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in a press note released on late Wednesday evening. Vajpayee is in a critical condition and is on life support, added the missive. Vajpayee was admitted to AIIMS on June 11 after complaints of urinary tract infection, low urine output and chest congestion.
