Pepsi CEO Indra Nooyi to Step Down Nooyi, one of the most prominent women to lead a Fortune 500 company, will leave on October 3. The 62-year-old will remain as chairwoman of PepsiCo's board of directors until
early 2019. She is expected to be replaced by Ramon Laguarta, Pepsi's global operations chief. During her 12-year tenure as CEO, Nooyi helped turn Pepsi into one of the most successful food and beverage companies
on earth. In addition to improving sales over 80%, she's also made Pepsi a more environmentally aware company. Nooyi, who has been with Pepsi for 24 years, led the company's expansion through acquisitions
before becoming CEO.
