S&P Gains Amidst Trade Tensions

Despite concerns over the looming US-Chna trade war, the stock markets seem to be weathering the rough waters.
According to Reuters, the S&P 500 rose on Friday in light of the fact that China proposed new tariffs on $60 billion worth of US goods.
China’s retaliatory tariffs on US goods ranged from liquified natural gas to certain types of aircraft.
The retaliatory tariffs came after U.S. President Donald Trump proposed 25% tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese goods.
