Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) chief M Karunanidhi suffered a major setback on Friday night. He was rushed to the Kauvery Hospital in Alwarpet from his residence. The DMK Chief was admitted to the hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after a sudden drop in blood pressure. Soon after, the hospital released a statement saying that Karunanidhi's blood pressure was stabilised with medical help, adding that he was under observation. The DMK Chief, who was being treated at his Gopalapuram residence for fever due to Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), has been taken to the hospital for further treatment.
