ICW 2018: Glamour is only on the ramp: Designer Pallavi Jaikishan gets candid

Designer Pallavi Jaikishan spoke to us while giving final pointers to the models and make up people just before her show titled Nostalgia on the second day of Hindustan Times and Sunil Sethi Design Alliance’s India Couture Week 2018.
Speaking about her schedule and long working hours, the designer said, “Everyone thinks this is a very glamorous industry, but all the glamour which is there is only what is right in front of you (pointing at the dressing room and the models getting ready).”
“I start work at 8 30 am everyday and carry on till 7 pm. So if that isn’t hard work, I don’t know what is! Of course, you’re known as a glamorous person and you are connected to glamour via your designs, but we clearly have to toil,” said Pallavi.
