Boxing fans in the Dominican Republic paid money to see a match between Curtis Stevens and hometown favorite Carlos Jairo Cruz but were shortly organizing their own brawl. Displeased at Stevens' quick victory at the end of the fourth round, fans decided they would have their own fight — using the white plastic chairs.
