In the run up to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Prime Minster is putting all his focus on Uttar Pradesh. The PM Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Varanasi, Azamgarh and Mirzagarh distts from today. The PM will be in Azamgarh today where he will be laying the foundation stone of the 340 km long Poorvanchal Expressway. This road will connect several important and historical towns of eastern Uttar Pradesh, including Barabanki, Amethi, Sultanpur, Faizabad, Ambedkar Nagar, Azamgarh, Mau and Ghazipur – with the state capital – Lucknow. In Varanasi, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of important projects cumulatively worth over Rs 900 crore.
