Puppies pick up social skills from HUMANS before they're even house-trained - much earlier than previously thought, according to new research.

The study shows they learn how to do things by watching us and other dogs - by the time they are just eight weeks old.

And researchers found they are better at mastering new tricks from observing strangers rather than their own mothers.
