Police are investigating after football fans took celebrations one step too far - by jumping on top of a cop car.

Footage captured by a Nottingham bus driver shows hundreds of football fans pouring into a Nottingham street minutes after England’s historic penalty win against Columbia.

Roars of the Three Lions football chant erupted along the busy city centre road causing traffic to come to a halt.

But police struggled to contain celebrations in the city with one football fan climbing on top of a bus and another jumping on top of a police car.
