President Donald Trump interviewed three possible candidates to fill an upcoming U.S. Supreme Court vacancy. The meetings came one day after he spoke to Republican Senator Mike Lee of Utah about the job. So far, according to Reuters, Trump has spoken to seven candidates. The president said he'll name a nominee on July 9 to fill the Supreme Court vacancy. The vacancy is due to the retirement of Justice Anthony Kennedy. A person familiar with the selection process said that Trump is mainly focused on two people, federal appeals court judges Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett.
