Netflix Tests More Expensive 'Ultra' Subscription Italian blog Tutto Android gave a look at tests of the new Netflix membership tier. Ultra may have subscribers paying as much as a $19.99 monthly fee. The differences between the current Premium and Ultra tiers are the picture quality and the number of simultaneous streams. Ultra could offer HDR, which means brighter colors that appear more vivid and detailed. According to one test, Ultra could also offer four simultaneous screens while Premium would offer two. The tests are ongoing and the question of what each tier will offer specifically has yet to be determined. Netflix has increased its prices every year for the last four years.
