In 1987, Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah and several Umno leaders, dubbed Team B, mobilized a campaign to oust then Umno president Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
Now, in 2018, Tengku Razaleigh is again attempting to capture the top post in Umno.
However, Tengku Razaleigh notes that his current competitors are not in the same league as his former opponent.
Fondly known as Ku Li, he is one of five contenders for the party’s presidential election on Saturday. The others are Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar, Mohamed Iqbal Maricair, and Mohd Yusof Musa @ Jamaluddin.
