Celebrating Mexico supporters carried a Korean man on their shoulders in Los Angeles on June 27, following South Korea’s surprise win over Germany at the World Cup, which ensured Mexico’s passage to the last 16, despite a 3-0 defeat by Sweden.With both games kicking off simultaneously, Mexico fans had gathered at Plaza Mexico in Lynwood to watch the drama unfold on a big screen. Despite their own disappointing result, they erupted in cheers when South Korea scored two late goals, condemning defending champions Germany to their worst World Cup performance since 1938.Here, fans can be seen carrying a Korean man on their shoulders.
