Centre Vs TN government over dam safety bill 2018; TN govt to move call attention motion

Tamil Nadu government will move call attention motion on recent Central government's draft Dam safety Bill 2018 in the assembly today. Chief Minister EPS wrote to PM last week to seek consensus from all the states before legislating the bill and the draft should be kept in abeyance until that. CM in letter mentioned that the objections raised by the former CM Jayalalithaa on the Dam Safety bill 2016 has not been addressed and the same draft has been circulated again.
