BAFTA nominated Mr Mello has been knocking out disco tinged house jams for years. Lead track 'Re-fusion' obviously refers to mixing house into the jazz funk hybrid of the 70's, and a dirty bassline groove with staccato snares keeps it simple with a twist of abstract. The stoned vibe of 'Mello Reprise' continues the '70s feel as Rob name checks himself shamelessly. 'In A Spell' is proper disco updated for the new century, full of layered sounds with a nice mix of the synthetic and the real. 'I Like It Fucked' rounds things up as well as it sums things up, heading into Herbert territory.
