WATCH AND SHARE the inspiring speech of an Indonesian youth in solidarity with the people of West Papua at Free West Papua protest in Jakarta.

On 1st December, people across Indonesia demonstrated in solidarity with the people of West Papua to demand West Papua's self-determination and freedom and for the Indonesian military and police to be pulled out of West Papua. They presented flowers to the Indonesian police but people were arrested across West Papua and over 100 Indonesian people were arrested too.

This is an unprecedented wave of solidarity from across Indonesia and a truly powerful show of support. We are very grateful to the people of Indonesia for standing up to their government and military and police and campaigning for what they know is right.
