Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter play a Romeo and Juliet-inspired couple who decide to elope in the face of class distinction and power games.

Dhadak is the Bollywood debut of Janhvi Kapoor, the daughter of the late screen icon Sridevi, and Ishaan Khatter, half-brother of actor Shahid Kapoor. The film, directed by Shashank Khaitan, is the Hindi remake of Nagraj Manjule's critically acclaimed Marathi film, Sairat. Dhadak is slated for release on July 20.
