Cash prize disparity between men and women cricket team was on full display at the on-going Women Asia Cup T20 in Malaysia when Mithali Raj got just 240 USD for being the player of the match.
Indian star Mithali Raj scored a superb unbeaten 97 to set up her team’s victory as India won the game by 142 after bowling out Malaysia for 27 runs.
In the second game of the tournament, Harmanpreet Kaur earned the player of the match award. Both Raj and Kaur were given prize money as low as US $250 (approximately Rs 16,778).
