‘Amazing to see and hear!’: Orcas communicate with each other off coast of Norway

A pod of orcas was captured communicating with each other off the coast of Norway.

In the video, a pod of orcas can seen as the low-frequency pops that they use to communicate with each other are heard.

“I was a photographer/videographer on a free diving trip to the Arctic Circle in Norway in November 2017,” the filmer said. “There was a fishing vessel in the nearby fjord and these orcas were swimming past us to get to it, possibly to pick up the herring that can fall out of the fishermans’ nets. Amazing to see and hear!”
