England - Chris Smalling Press Conference - Plays Down Injury & Talks About 'Leo The Lion'

Chris Smalling said on Wednesday that he will be fit for England's first Euro 2016 group game against Russia despite an injury scare on arrival in France.

Smalling was seen with ice on his knee following England's first training session in Chantilly on Tuesday (7th June).

But the defender claimed this was a normal part of his recovery and he will be ready for Russia this weekend.

Smalling also refused to reveal the story behind a toy lion which he has been carrying around with him in Chantilly and also played down any security concerns he might have.

Following the Russia game England will then meet Wales in Lens on 15th June, before facing Slovakia in Saint-Etienne on 19th June.
