Louis van Gaal says the contest for a top four place is still a "rat race" despite a 3-1 win over Aston Villa giving Manchester United an eight-point advantage over fifth-placed Liverpool.
Ander Herrera and Wayne Rooney gave United a two goal lead before Villa's Christian Benteke pulled one back with a low strike, but Herrera sealed the victory with a side-footed finish in injury-time.
Man Utd have won 13 of their last 15 Premier League home games.
