Racehorse trainer sings OPERA to her horses
  • 5 years ago
A racehorse trainer has revealed her secret to stabling champions - by singing opera to them. Heather Main, a professional performer-turned full-time racehorse trainer, has combined her two passions to relax the horses and boost their morale - and got four winners in just three days. The 48-year-old, who lives in Kingston Lisle, Oxon., belts out Mozart arias to the ponies, and says sometimes they even join in a whinnying duet. She opened up about her secret after landing a 440-1 treble on one day with two horses winning at Newbury and one finishing first at Chepstow - followed up with another winner at Lingfield a few days later.
