A father has described the "amazing" moment his "miracle" son spoke four months after he was knocked off his bike and left in a coma in hospital. Ryan Smith, 16, decided not to wear a helmet because he was worried it would spoil his fashionable hairstyle on July 22. Luckily, the teen survived the collision with a van in Lincolnshire, although was left in a coma at the Pilgrim Hospital in Boston, Lincolnshire. On Friday (16/11), much to the amazement of his father, Mark, 44, Ryan spoke for the first time at Ashby Ward Rehabilitation centre.
