Banjo Bobby strikes a chord with crime prevention ditty

A police officer is living up to the name of 'Bobby on the beat' by fighting crime -- with a 'banjolele'. Sgt Giles Dean is using a banjo-ukulele hybrid to spread security messages.
The musically-minded officer is playing the catch crime prevention tune -- "When I'm Burgling Your House" to help members of the public be aware of thefts. Sgt Dean, who is part of the West Midlands Police and patrols Smethwick said: "We continually stress to residents through leaflets, social media, videos and face-to-face police surgeries about the importance of basic home and car security.
