867 people dressed as superman smash world record

This is the 'heroic' moment a staggering 867 festival-goers dressed as SUPERMAN to smash the world record. Music fans fans from across the country had earlier descended on the Lake District for the Kendal Calling festival. And they took time out of watching the likes of Primal Scream, Basement Jaxx, The Charlatans and Public Enemy for the hilarious record attempt. In total a staggering 867 dressed up in the Man of Steel's unmistakable blue and red uniform, smashing the previous record of 566 people. The stunt was set up by costume experts Escapade, raising £500 for Help For Heroes, which was matched by Escapade, making a grand total of £1000 for the charity.
