Neighbour tells of hell living next to machinery business

A couple have told how they suffer from blurred vision, pounding headaches and nausea - brought on by VIBRATIONS from a nearby 'heavy metal' machinery plant. Pete and Monica Lang claim the tremors and accompanying noises coming from the hefty equipment used by an engineering firm in their street have ruined their lives. They claim the vibrations even caused a gas leak at their home yet - despite having had a noise abatement notice served on them - the company continues to trade. Mr Lang, 70, said the couple were now "severely depressed" from the impact of the noise and called the whole situation "horrendous". The retired couple's house, in Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol, sits opposite the workshop of Strenco Tools, an engineering firm for the automotive and aerospace industries. But it was only when a large milling machine was delivered to the workshop in August 2009 that the noise problems began.
