Several Charlottesville parks were closed on Thursday, May 31, after the Rivanna River broke its banks following heavy rain triggered by Storm Alberto.At least one person was killed when a car was swept into Ivy Creek by floodwater on Wednesday evening. The Daily Progress reported the search for the other occupant of the car continued on Thursday following storms brought up to 10 inches to Central Virginia.This drone video shows a flooded building in Darden Towe Park on the outskirts of Charlottesville.
