Former Alphabet chairman Eric Schmidt has dismissed Elon Musk's doomsday vision of AI. The Tesla CEO, an AI skeptic, says the technology could eventually morph into a tyrannical regime. Schmidt says Musk doesn't understand the benefits AI will provide to making humans smarter. He adds artificial intelligence and machine learning are fundamentally good for humanity.
