I fitted some K&N Air Filters (https://www.facebook.com/KNFilters) to my R8 Spyder. The filters offer a small power increase of approximately 8-10hp, improved airflow, they don't need replacing as often as OEM units, and in theory an improvement to the sound from my car's QuickSilver exhaust too!

I headed to KIK Customs (http://www.facebook.com/kikcustoms1) where my Midnight Purple wrap was done to carry out the work, with an attempt to undergo it myself that I am pleased to report back was successful! Initial reports from the change I can say it certainly makes slightly more pops and bangs than before from the exhaust and of course there are the other benefits of power gains and no need to replace them as often as standard units.
