Kilauea Fissure Winds Down, Eruption Continues

One fissure from Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano appeared to be winding down on Sunday, May 6, but the volcano’s eruption showed no signs of stopping. There are 10 fissures open along the volcano’s east rift zone in Leilani Estates.This footage was filmed on Luana Street in Pahoa. The US Geological Survey said a magnitude 6.9 earthquake, the strongest in Hawaii since 1975, took place on the mountain on Friday.At least 26 homes had been destroyed in the eruptio, Hawaii News Now reported.
