FC Barcelona clinched their 25th La Liga title on April 29 after winning 4-2 at Deportivo La Coruna. Lionel Messi scored his 32nd league goal of the season in the victory. Barca got their seventh Liga title in 10 years. The Catalan team also completed a fourth domestic double in that same period -- they beating Sevilla 5-0 in the King's Cup final last week. Barcelona have asserted a decade of domestic dominance by clinching the La Liga title in dramatic circumstances. Hundreds of Barca fans gathered on Las Ramblas, in the heart of the city of Barcelona, to celebrate as is customary around the Canaletas fountain. The fans also sang songs to remember their arch-rivals Real Madrid, who are competing in the UEFA Champions League. The songs on Real, perhaps, are an indicator that Barca’s fans feel deep inside that their club’s feats in the domestic league have been overshadowed by Real Madrid's continued success in Europe.
