Shares for Southwest Airlines dropped by almost 2-percent the day after one of the company's aircraft suffered an in-flight engine failure.
According to the airline and federal officials, one person died due to the engine failure.
Bound for Dallas, Texas, the aircraft took off from LaGuardia in New York, but it landed unexpectedly in Philadelphia after an engine blew out.
The failure caused the engine to disintegrate, while spraying the fuselage with shrapnel.
