China aims to stop jaywalkers by spraying them with water
  • 6 years ago
Water-spraying equipment has been set up in central China's Hubei Province to prevent pedestrians from crossing when they shouldn't.

In the video, captured in Huangshi City on April 18, bollards spray water vapour when someone walks past the posts.

According to reports, the bollards were also equipped with facial recognition technology and the pictures of jaywalkers were displayed on a giant LED screen.

Local media said the system was still being trialled.
