Zika in Miami: Mayor hopes spraying stops contamination

Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez hopes the spraying of a Zika-contaminated area quells the ongoing crisis in South Florida. Gimenez said the mosquito control team would start spraying a 10-square mile area north of downtown Miami. He also made a plea to residents to "continue to do their part" by draining standing water and using mosquito repellent. The state health department has found 15 locally acquired cases in a population of 12.7 million.
