New York City’s ‘Fearless Girl’ Statue to Move in Front of Stock Exchange

New York City’s ‘Fearless Girl’ Statue to Move in Front of Stock Exchange The popular statue of a little girl will now stare down the New York Stock Exchange instead of the “Charging Bull” statue. “Fearless Girl” was installed in March 2017 by State Street Global Advisors to draw attention to the company’s initiative to put more women on corporate boards. Our hope is that by moving closer to the NYSE she will inspire more companies to take action. The statue was originally only supposed to stand for a few days but after an overwhelmingly positive response, its permit was extended for a year. New York Mayor Bill de Blasio and State Street Global Advisors have said that the statue will move to its new home before the end of the year.
