Kathua rape incident shows downfall of humanity: Sumitra Mahajan. Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Friday said Kathua rape incident indicates downfall of humanity. She further added that politics and religion should go hand-in-hand as religion teaches humanity to people and it must run conjointly for the benefit of the society. ‘Religion and politics should run conjointly then society will be benefitted,” said Mahajan.
